AMO – Focus: Rob Van De Cappelle AMO Racing March 29, 2021 Racing This new addition to AMO for members only is a chance to hear your voice, understand who you are, and focus on the 2021 race plan. In a sense, each AMO member is a sponsor of what AMO does. We’re constantly trying to find more support, find sponsors, money, prizes, and whatever I can to enhance the experience for the member. By doing that we sometimes forget the member is the biggest supporter. Without racers and the families that support them, AMO, facilities/tracks, shops, manufacturers, and more wouldn’t be able to survive. So this FOCUS idea is for the member to just share some fun, answer some questions, promote their sponsors, and allow all of us to get a little more personalized to each AMO member. Thank you to each member as we head into the 2021 season. Presented to you by MP1 Suspension is located in Tillsonburg Ontario and is owned and operated by Mike Parliament. We have over 25 years of racing and mechanical experience, including 2 years as a technician with the KTM Canada Race Team. It’s with this experience, we are confident we can give you a customized setting for your motorcycle that will give you the confidence you need when riding or racing. https://mp1suspension.com/ AMO – Focus: Rob Van De Cappelle Where are you from and your birthdate? It’s been a while since I raced in Ontario. Right now, they are all my favorite, until I crash and burn on one. 😊Have you ever raced the Walton Transcan Grand National championship? I raced the trans Can in 1993 finished 7th in GP JR. 1994, finished 10th in 250 (two-stroke days) JR, 1995 I earned 10 stitches in my forehead from landing on a wooden stake over the natural double. How many in your family race? Myself and my adult son. Still my family but he is married with kids of his own now.If there was one thing you could change about the sport of motocross, what would that be? The ever-increasing cost. I paid less for my first car than I did for my last dirt bike. Also, would like to see more sponsors come back to the sport. I would rather win a can of chain lube now than a medal or plaque for my wall. Not that will ever be that far up the standings.Who are your 2021 sponsors?
