Hello AMO members,

As always, any schedule made is a tentative one. AMO has adjusted the latest version of our NEW Saturday/Sunday race ideas.

“This updated version allows all racers to have a practice group on Saturday now,” shares Ryan Gauld. “The idea behind this is to:

  • Allow more time throughout both race days for everyone.
  • More track work to ensure the track is safer for all disciplines over the two days.
  • Saturday AM practice will have flaggers and medics on the track from 8 AM till the end of the day.
  • Practice groups allow for a more organized addition by groups. Ride with your group.
  • Ladies B and Girls 9-16 are now split so these racers have another race class option.
  • Every race class on Saturday has their class gate drop.
  • The 50 4-6, 7-8, GP, Girls 4-8, Trail Bike and 65B will use the small version of all the main tracks (like 2021).
  • Our Vet racers now get to practice, rest, and then race Sunday. Like the moto Gods intended.
  • Pro Catch Pass Class – This is a class about of training ideas where the 250 Int gate drop will go prior. Then 15-20 seconds later, the pros can then chase the intermediates. This is a training class for passing for the Pro racers. This as well gives them a second gate drop at each event. This class will have 100% Payback

Not every change will work for everyone. It’s hard to ensure every racer and family gets the perfect scenario for their weekend at the track. With this small change, AMO feels we will deliver a better organized, safer, more relaxed atmosphere. All the while but still making sure we delivered a structure, competitive system that can help you advance to the next level!!”

Important info as we approach the race season:

  • Every racer MUST be a member of AMO to race an AMO event. Each event has day passes available, but you cannot purchase that until the event opens.
  • It is the member’s responsibility to have your transponder up to date. This is not an AMO-related question (though we can help point you in the right direction if you need it). You must contact the folks at https://speedhiveshop.mylaps.com/tr2-mx-transponder.html  for all information, inquiries, and updates related to your transponder. Please also ensure your subscription is up to date and activated when racing begins. If you have a TR2 already, please read this http://amoracing.com/2021/06/24/mylaps-tr2-transponder-problem/
